best, easiest method to remove cigarette smoke smell permanently? maybe an ozone generator?

i’ve tried vinegar (didn’t work) and “room shocker” twice (worked a bit but still left residue). since cleaning every surface/item nor moving is an option, i need to get rid of the smoke residue that produces the lingering smoke.
