We rented a house 1 year ago. We have had numerous problems with mold and mildew smells throughout the entire time. The landlord cleaned the air conditioning and heating ducts but the smell is still terrible. The roof leaks and he won’t fix it. The deck is rotten. My wife and I are constantly sick. My inlaws just came to visit us and they are complaining of headaches and dizziness since they got here. We also have headaces, dizziness, constant coughing and are sick all the time. The land lord is not nice and does nothing to help us. My inlaws think we should move but we have 7 more months on our lease and we don’t think that the landlord will let us out of our lease. What can we do? HELP US PLEASE.
Check the rental laws in your area and contact the health department; this is a bigger problem than just getting rid of mold. You need to expose this landlord for his negligence.
Mold can be harmful to your health and you need to stand up for your rights in this case.
